It's been five years since we decided to create CELTAchat in Rome 2016. What a surprise!
They've been five very happy years meeting once a month to reflect on things related to initial teacher training. I've found it incredibly useful meeting up to compare and share ideas.
However, I'm finding that having made the transition from ELT into EAP, I'm struggling to find the time and space to continue doing CELTA courses. I also realise that I am incredibly lucky to be in this position of having plenty of work and feel very grateful that I'm in a profession that was able to adapt and move online to survive.
I'm going to miss being a part of CELTAchat and we're wondering whether anyone else would like to step up and join the team as a moderator. It would be wonderful if you are interested. Please let us know. It would be great to hear from a teacher trainer in another time zone as this would be ideal.
